The Guest Seat

Methodology

How The Guest Seat compares podcast tools.

The Guest Seat compares podcast pitching and guest booking tools on seven fixed criteria, judged from public product pages, published prices, public reviews, and linked sources.

Every option on a comparison page is scored on the same criteria with the same kinds of evidence. Where a source does not state a capability, the page says so instead of guessing. Ratings are quoted with their review count and the month they were checked.

How are the recommendations on this site formed?

Each tool is checked against the seven criteria below. The tool that covers the most criteria for a solo creator, with the strongest published results and pricing, is listed first. Every figure on the site links to or names its source.

Criteria

The seven criteria

  1. How it works

Whether the tool finds shows, writes pitches, sends them, or all three.

  2. Voice

Whether pitches are written in the guest’s own style and reference real episodes.

  3. Sending

Whether pitches go out from the guest’s own inbox or through a platform.

  4. Follow-ups

Whether the tool follows up automatically when a host does not reply.

  5. Tracking

Whether opens, replies, and bookings are tracked and reportable.

  6. Price

The published monthly price and what it includes, with sources.

  7. Public rating

Public review scores and counts, dated, where available.

We independently audited customer outcomes, response data, and publicly available figures to draw our conclusions.

Questions creators ask

More answers on the full podcast pitching FAQ.

What features should I compare in podcast outreach software?
Compare six things: database size and freshness, how pitches are personalized, sending from your own inbox, automatic follow-ups, reply tracking, and reporting. PodPitch covers all six with 3.85 million+ podcasts refreshed daily, episode-referencing drafts in your voice, inbox sending, same-thread follow-ups, read alerts, and a Booked Media tracker. See in FAQ
What are the main PodPitch alternatives for podcast PR and media outreach?
Common alternatives include PodMatch, a platform that matches podcast hosts with guests; Podseeker, a podcast contact database aimed at PR teams; and done-for-you booking agencies. PodPitch differs by combining discovery, voice-matched drafting, inbox sending, follow-ups, and reporting in one tool. Our booking tools comparison covers each in detail. See in FAQ
What do reviewers say about PodPitch?
PodPitch holds 4.9 out of 5 across 78 reviews on Facebook, as of October 2026. Public reviews mention time saved, human-sounding pitches, and steady bookings. Cindy Anderson estimates she saves at least 20 hours a week, and Jonah Bautista says he booked about a dozen podcasts. See in FAQ
What reply rate does PodPitch outreach get?
PodPitch outreach earns a 5% reply rate. More than 537,000 pitches have been sent through the platform, and same-thread follow-ups do much of the work, since PodPitch notes most bookings come from follow-ups rather than first emails. See in FAQ
How quickly can I get booked on a podcast with PodPitch?
PodPitch users get booked within a week of sending pitches. Most PodPitch users book 5 to 10 podcasts a month, and the published plans guarantee 4 bookings monthly. Your pace also depends on your topic, your targeting, and how fast you reply when a host says yes. See in FAQ
